Garmin cadence sensor magnet?

I appear to have lost the bit of my cadence sensor that goes on the crank (assume it's a magnet) to measure cadence on my Garmin 305 - can you buy these anywhere separately, or can I bodge something else - which assumes it's a magnet and not something exotic.

It's a magnet, nothing fancy. You should be able to Araldite one to the crank.

contact garmin, they will probably send you a replacement, the bike mount lug that secures the unit broke on mine, they sent a new one free.
