Carrera Gryphon?

Rare visit to Halfords today. The Gryphon seemed a lot of bike for 380 quid :

Quite fancy one. Any competitors in the flat barred, 700, disc'd, relatively light, niche of which anyone knows?

There is a full review in this months Mag, overall 8/10 stick some budget carbon forks on the front and it will improve the ride, as road vibration will be reduced noticeably. Well worth the Money,bit of a shame that they didn't put carbon on the front from the off! It probably would not have affected the price point too drastically?[:D]

Purchased a gryphon approx 6 weeks ago.
Nice bike if it is set up correctly, dont let halfords touch it, just had mine in for its first service, it came back worse than it went in.
Just put a set of specialized all condition tyres on, they made a big difference. Not overly keen on the disc brakes will change at a later date. Other than that it is a nice bike.
Got mine for œ349 + œ50.00 worth of bits thrown in.
