Muc-Off, is it safe to use on Carbon frames? on the bottle it states safe on plastic, but no specific reference to Carbon as either being OK to use or otherwise. Any thoughts please, I don't want to wreck my new frame. Thanks.[;)]

Thanks, I vaguely remember something similar, I'll stick to some good quality car shampoo.[8D]

Muc Off is acid based and'll be very agressive on carbon. I use Finish Line Pro Detailer. Works a treat; cleans and polishes all in one [^]

I think muc-off is probably not that strong, I strongly suspect it's mostly water.0

??????????
According to my bottle and the MuC Off web site is is both biodegradeable & alkaline, not acid, based
I us it on the alloy wheels of my car - it is also sold for this purpose.
As with any cleaner you should follow the instructions.

Muc-off will be alkaline based not acid, this allows it to wash off the greasey/oily deposits on the frame AND of course all of the oily bits.
I've never had any issues with it on the carbon bits of my bike but I always make sure I dry the bike and re-oil all the chainset, etc.0 -
I've used Muc-off on my carbon framed bike for the last 3 years. You sould be washing laquered paint, not carbon, so it's fine. I am cautious and don't leave it on the paintwork very long and make sure I've rinsed it all off.0
