de-scratching my HRM?
Hi Folks,
I annoyingly put a nice bug scratch on my Polar F11 HRM putting the bike in the shed, boo. Anyway, I seem to remember polishing scratches out of glass watch faces using Braso, didn't really work for my Polar but has anyone got any good tips? I wonder if they can replace the plastic face when I send it for a new battery...
Cheers

There's an iPod scratch removal product called Applesauce which polishes up scratched plastic faces. Suunto do an own-brand product too, I think.

'Polywatch' polish is used by the watch trade to polish out scratches on plastic watch crystals. Should do the trick, but may well depend on the depth and amount of scratching.[:)]

The watch face of the F11 feels like it's made of plastic.
I have heard of people using toothpaste!0 -
For deep scratches, I have used "wet & dry" paper. Fine paper lain on a flat surface, with the watch face rubbed on it with a circular motion. Then metal polish to revive the sheen.

I've found T-cut colour restorer works quite well on clear plastics.0

Toothpaste. Yep, it works, mildly abrasive so can polish out scratches nicely. I've used it on Swatch faces in the past without any problems.

Use "simple" toothpaste, added whiteners etc are too abrasive.
Meuller recommend toothpaste for their fairings
