Was having trouble with my Edge 305 turning off mid ride. Spoke to Garmin Friday, posted the unit Monday, received a new one back today. Superb service

That's good news - how old was it, and did you have to furnish them with receipts etc?
  • Only 3 months old, they never asked for the receipt but I sent one anyway

I had a complete failure on Tuesday could not pick up any satellites at all.
Phoned Garmin and the girl asked me for my e-mail address and sent me a letter on how I could fix it myself :-
    Master Reset
In regards to the issue you are facing with your E-MAP. Please try the following. Hold down on ESC+POWER. You will then see a message come up saying 'do you wish to erase user data' Answer Yes, then you will need to leave it outside for approx. 45 mins in a clear view of the sky, in a stationary position
Followed the instructions and it worked, Garmin have a great customer service second to none I have used then many time with my GPS and fishfinders

I've had no problems with mine, but their customer service is great. I emailed an online store about an extra mount for my 205. The store didn't stock them. So they emailed Garmin, who sent me one for free!
