Has anyone hired a bike in Majorca?
I've found two companies Pro Cycle Hire and Max Huerzeler. Has anyone used either of these two companies or have any experience of others.
I'll be staying in the North of the Island and will be looking for two road bikes with triple chain sets.
Thanks

I've been to training camps in Puerto Pollensa for the last 2 years. Several of the other riders hired bikes from Pro cycle Hire. While not the cheapest the quality of the bikes and service received was very good. They stocked mainly Giants and had both double and compact chainsets. I'm not sure that they had triples this year.

  • Yup, had bikes from Bruce at procyclehire in Puerto Pollensa a couple of weeks ago, Bruce and Mrs Bruce both very helpful, recommended.

I'm off to Majorca soon too and had been looking at hiring from Pro Cycle Hire. Did you book in advance via the web or just go the shop and pick one?
  • I booked online (it's more like an enquiry form tbh) then spoke to Bruce just before we went out. Payed when we picked them up. Might be simplest to call TBH, but still highly recommended.

Yeh i read thier excelent web sight and thought id hire one of thier mtb .Wish i hadn"t ,it was crap , the chainset was so worn ,you know you get to a hill then the whole bike starts clunking and creeking , Not what you want from a Mountain bike i think .Anyway take your own bike cos its actually less hassle than been ripped off .

Pro cycle hire do have triples this year. They're also hiring out full carbon massis.
great part of the island up there in the North. Try the run out to Cap de Formentor as a wee trial run. A great route with a few climbs but the views are tremendous just watch the drivers at the lighthouse getting agitated as they fight for parking spaces as you roll in with no such problems !! Enjoy. Procycle will also supply a cyclists map at a small cost.
