No, I'm not dribbling, just i've been converted.

I bought some DHB bibs from Wiggle as a 'budget' to test them. I'm a short arse and therefore was always worried about the straps being loose. Having only used normal shorts, I've been won over I won't buy normals again. Just a recommendation for the beginners forum.

I still don't look slim in them though [:D]

  • Was it the bib shorts that made John Wayne walk funny?
    No chain, no gain
  • Where do you find the pad finishes on your bum?
I find that when I am sitting on my saddle, I am part sitting on the seam of the pad, not in the middle of it.

i couldn't feel the seam i don't feel the pad at all. i suppose it's supposed to be that way.

Another big thumbs-up for the dhb bibs. I tried mine for the first time today and they are great, very comfortable and a good fit.

    Excellent value for money.

I ordered Pearl Izumi Microsensor 3D Pro Bib Shorts from vans and they are even better than th DHB's. [8D]
th back is higher and keeps the straps in place better I'd recommend this feature to anyone buying

  • I'm not sure if this problem is just mine, but the pad doesn't feel in the correct place.
On my normal DHB shorts (which I love) the pad protrudes once I'm sitting on the saddle, but the pad on the bibs doesn't come as far, and means I'm only sitting on part of it.
I might try the bigger size, but not sure if the pad will be any bigger.

Lusso Coolmax bibs, well made, and at œ30 a pair a real bargain. nice comfy synthethic AB chammy, good fit and heavy duty non shiny material.[8D]

i suspect that the pad will be the same size but the 'cut' of the fabric will be slightly different

cheers Mark, been thinking of getting these bib things for a while now and had same reservations myself, will def give them a go...
  • If someone wants a pair of medium DHB bibs, give me a shout, cos the pad is the wrong shape for me. I have only worn them once.

    Cheers

I think like saddles it's a horses for courses thingy here. I got some Pearl Izumi's recently (not the top ones, the model below) and they're my least favourite shorts ever. Nasty rough material, pad too short at the back. Can't imagine why I didn't notice when I tried 'em on in the shop. Must have been getting all excited about spending the dosh.

My newly-acquired ladyfriend caught sight of my bibs hanging, Silence of the Lambs-like, in my wardrobe the other day and recoiled, shrieking in horror (strong West Highlands accent): "Is that.. is that a DEMITARRRRrrrRRRD?!!"

    There's no escuse, apparently. [:D]

I've got a pair of the dhb bibs, and I reckon that the pad goes less far up the back but is higher at the front than any of the others I've got. I get on fine with them, and I think the increased padding at the front has benefits if you know what I mean...
