Rapha v Assos
After I was encouraged to buy both Assos and Rapha bibshorts and do a comparative test I thought Id better share my findings.
Assos wins hands down guys, better quality, the pad is comfier (and thats after a century on a carbon fibre saddle) and they just feel much more like œ100 worth TBH.
Obviously "fit" is subjective and Im lucky enough that both fitted me excellently. The Rapha are okay, just not as good as the Assos.
Will check back after a couple of mohts to let yall know how both pairs are holding up
PS the Assos model i have are the 2007 F1 Equipe.
not like you and proud of it

I bought a pair of Castelli Free bibs the other day and can highly recommend them, similar pricepoint to Assos and Rapha, very comfy and extremely well made.

James, where did you get your Castelli stuff from?

I think Cyclefit stock Castelli clothing now.
I agree with your assessment Andy - Rapha shorts are good (and personally I really like the material they are made from) but they aren't as comfortable as Assos shorts. But then I've never found shorts that are.0
