Hi,
Building up a bike and using XT running gear.
The question I have is concerning the Rear Derailleur RD-M760 GS and the Cassette CS-760 AS (11-34T).
When on the 34T cog there appears to be little room for the Derailluer pully wheel is this normal or are the above not trully compatible ?

As maddog2 says. Dial in the tension screw on the back of the rear mech. That should sort it.
well, yes and no......but mainly no.

The closer the derailleur is to the cassette, the better the shifting. Worry only if it's touching.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, please)

might run a bit noisy but will be OK, I`ve an XTR with 34 largest on MTB and it rattles a bit but is fine, anyway how often do you use teh 34? mine is total bail out gear only!!!

the 2 pivots mean that the top pulley will pull back away from the large cog.
what you may notice is a more pronounced feeling of the pulleys, chain and cogs running against each other . . . but its fine.
