You want one that fits properly, with plenty of vents and is comfortable

I too have a white Atmos - my first helmet very recently bought and it hasn't been the nightmare to wear I had imagined - probably because the vent area is so large. As others have said, make sure to try some on before deciding. I also tried a Bell helmet on which was very comfortable - just slightly less so than the Giro.
The guy in Condor was a great help.

Another vote here for the Catlike. It's the most comforable helmet I've used.

What's Graham Norton got to do with this? Anyway, I thought it was blue and green. Red and green complement each other well....

If you wear a helmet for possible safety benefits, have a look on here. If you just think they look cool, get the coolest looking one.

Why are you wearing a helmet?
The first thing is that it must fit properly and be comfortable. Unless this is the case then performance will be compromised.
Secondly - the toughest tests are the Snell Foundation. Only Specialized sell Snell tested helmets in the UK.
My suggestion, buy a Specialized (Decibel or similar)that passes Snell certification if it fits and feels comfortable.

FIT is the most important criteria.
Each manufacturer uese a slightly different "head"shape.
Go and try on as many as you can from different manufacturers. Then go up or down the range to the price that you are comfortable paying, then choose your colour.
