Front derailleur question

I bought a really nice alu TT frame off ebay and it came today and I noticed that while it has a braze on mount for a front derailleur, there is no boss for it near the headtube.

I could do a David Millar and leave the derailleur off, or perhaps screw the stops so it is fixed on the big ring, but what can I do if I want to be able to shift the front rings? Could a professional drill a hole to fit a screw-in boss?

A couple of years ago the boss broke off of my training bike, so I got Argos frames in Bristol to fix the prblem. They did in superfast time, & when the seatpin got stuck they sorted that too. Both jobs done quick & at decent money. They're on the web, give 'em a try...
