Does length matter?

I need to change the cranks on my fixie, which are currently 175 mmm. I've found a good deal on some 172.5 mm cranks - will I notice any significant difference?

    rc, i have two fixies - one with 165 and the other 170 - i can only notice a very slight difference, and i mean very slight - the difference between 172.5 and 175 will be even less noticeable. you should go for it

    Only improvements I'd suggest: less chance of grounding and reduced front overlap.
