  • That's interesting. Perhaps then Telekom was of the same attitude David Millar pointed out at Cofidis which was that management had a 'head in the sand' attitude to doping within Cofidis. The head in the sand approach is something quite far short of Festina style organisation, so perhaps Godefroot will win this one

Well, Riis kind of suggested that in his view it was impossible for Goodefroot not to have noticed...

oh, I don't know the management at my work seem to do a very good job of not knowing what is going on even when it is staring them in the face.

  • From what Goodefroot describes, he wasn't in daily-weekly physical proximity of his team, he describes it more as logistics, an organiser. But I refuse to believe he only heard of EPO in 1996,, or hemocrit levels in 1996-riders were dying before 1996, as early as 1987 and especially 1990 a rider from the PDM team died in his sleep -a Johannes Drajer. I reckon Goodefroot may have had a laizze faire attitude , but not actually organse a kitty like was done at Festina, Le Groupement

  • ha ha, IMplausible more like. He's at it. If I had come forward recently and then heard this BULLMERD coming out I'd be really disappointed. Godefroot has in a nutshell spelt out the fundamental problem.
