Disc brake problem

Use a good disc brake cleaner. If they still squeal then try some copper slip.
I have to say I had discs on my RSP, but I went back to V-Brakes after a while.

Copper slip on the BACK OF THE PADS
Not on a braking surface, IT ll stop em squealing but not stop you?!
P.S. put it into an MTB forum, you ll get more responses - www.whatmtb.com/forum - soon to be us anyway, may i suggest avoiding MBUK

make sure the caliper is aligned properly and if not consider getting the bosses faced (LBS job)
otherwise, have a think about how you bed your pads in.

Cleaner- buy some car brake & clutch cleaner - must be suitable for clutches as well. Much cheaper than the bike specific stuff.
What type of disc set up are you using?
