Do people use loctite to secure the locking nut when adjusting the pedal bearings? One of mine seems to work loose quickly, so i'm seeking advice please.

  • There are several types of Locktite, I would use one that is classed as semi-permanent to secure anything on a bike or you might have trouble undoing it again.

Is there room to fit a shakeproof washer behind the nut?

Nobody ever got laid because they were using Shimano

Nutlock or threadlock is specifically designed for the purpose.
