loctite?
Do people use loctite to secure the locking nut when adjusting the pedal bearings? One of mine seems to work loose quickly, so i'm seeking advice please.

There are several types of Locktite, I would use one that is classed as semi-permanent to secure anything on a bike or you might have trouble undoing it again.
Is there room to fit a shakeproof washer behind the nut?

Nutlock or threadlock is specifically designed for the purpose.
