anyone know why he pulled out with only a few days to go?

  • He had a fever and, ahem, leaky gas it seems. Shame as he'd done sterling work for Di Luca and it would have been good for him to arrive in Milan with the race winner.

    Is he still slated to start the Tour de France? A bit of rest now, with job done, might benefit him for the Tour.

    As Andyp says, it's a shame he couldn't go all the way to Milan with Di Luca!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
