Hi

Just wondering if anyone had any experience of the Ambrosio Solaro bikes, good or bad. I bought the frame and built my own bike and haven't had any trouble yet.

It's my first road bike so I've nothing to compare it to (other than it beats riding MTB)

Are there other Solaro users out there or did I buy something really c**ppy?

Cheers

  • i like the ambrosio frames, and am contemplating buying a solaro

they are very cheap for what they are, so you were in no way ripped off.

they are of course not the most amazing frames, but they are a fraction of the price of the "amazing frames"

the only thing which puts me off them are the graphics, but that is 100% cosmetical and a mater of preference.

and if you enjoy the bike then its not crappy yer :)

I've got a carbone rapid (polished alloy) and love it, it's actually lighter than some carbon frames!!

  • I has a Solaro for 4 years and loved every minute I spent on it. Unfortunately a crack appeared so we parted company but if I consider the number of miles I clocked up and the numbers of hours pleasure then it was a an absolute bargain.
