Torn shorts

After an encounter with some barbed wire, my shorts have three small 'L' shapped tears. The shorts are too new too ditch - any tips on how to repair them?

I've got some old shorts I could cut some patches from, or how about those iron on patches I remember from when I was a lad?

I had an encounter with a barbed wire fence recently. Strangely, my legs got ripped up but the shorts only have a couple of puncture marks to show for it, which you really have to search for. Sadly, the other two pairs of shorts I currently own aside from these have both ripped in the past week.

Time to make my bank account moan at me again I suppose...new shorts are a must methinks.
