Hiring Stuff

My mate has decided to join me on my idiotic London to Geneva trip which is going ahead in 5 weeks.

However, he's only got a cheap mountain bike. Is it possible to hire bike touring equipment (including the bike?)

    you can hire a decent hybrid from On yer Bike at london bridge which is fine a for a pootle around london

    having said which I did my first tour on a 10 year old mountain bike. It forced me to go out and buy a œ1700 Thorn

    It would be certainly better value and probably even cheaper to buy stuff than to hire for 5 weeks.
