I've had my S150 HRM for two years and today it decided to start having problems with the chest transmitter. It works fine for a few minutes and then starts to give really low readings and finally no HR readings at all. The bike side if the computer is fine so I've deduced that the chest transmitter might be either on the blink or the battery might be shot.

I was pretty firm with the battery idea until I visited a web site to buy a replacement and read that chest transmitters are expected to give around 5 years service at a rate of 10 hours a week. Well, I meet the 10 hour a week criteria but I'm three years short in the time. Is there anyone out there who can give me an idea just what a realistic life expentancy is for one of these chest transmitters?

Many Thanks,
