Dragon hills compared to Tour of Wessex

Have just returned from rain and pain of Wessex. Am due to do the Dragon shortly. Can anyone offer any advice about how the hills on the Dragon route compare to those on this years Wessex?


The route profile of the Dragon http://www.dragonride.co.uk/route.php

seems to show more climbs than,say, day 3 of Wessex but not so steep. Wishful thinking or actually the case?

    The main DR hills are nothing like as steep as the most murderous of the ToW hills. They're long and allow a regular rhythm. If you did the ToW then the DR will be like a picnic. Having said that they've changed the route this year so maybe there are some 25%+ buggers in there now.
