My wifes tubes ( ooh er, missus) and mine, on our tourers,are the same size but hers are schraeder and mine are presta. In the event of a puncture would I be able to use the prestas on her bike or would the hole size in the rim be a problem.
ie. Will my little thing wiggle about in her big hole!! This is beginning to sound like Carry On Cycling[:D]

I would have thought, that as she is your wife, you would have tried out the little thing/big hole trial sometime ago. Most people would reckon that it is one these things on a quiet Sunday afteroon you could just have a litle play.

There shouldn't be any issue with the size of your wife's hole or her rim. Your little thing will fit in and will stay up during the whole ride. If you are worried about keeping it up, make sure you put a ring at the root of your thing and tighten it....

It makes most sense to swap your wife's tubes to presta, get two of these "hole adapters". Presta's are better for higher pressures, you don't have to worry about switching your pump head, you only need buy or carry one type of tube.

Why don't you go for an enlargement, then yours'll be able to completely fill her hole?
