My wife uses Chorus on her summer bike and Veloce on her winter bike. She recently fitted the Veloce, an upgrade from Sora. She was amazed at the high quality of Veloce and reckons it is not too disimilar to her Chorus groupset. I think you should run your Veloce until it starts to show signs of wear and tear and only then consider an upgrade.0

Ring a Campag pro shop they will tell you more than you'll learn here.Racing is life - everything else is just waiting0

If you have the very newest Veloce ergos then there is one significant difference. The R/H ergo on the newest Veloce levers cannot shift multiple sprockets with the thumb lever in one movement. Whether or not this bothers you is a different matter though.
If you want to do this with the current Campag groups then you have to buy Record or Chorus, where previously everything from Mirage up had this feature.

You get a slightly better finish on the more expensive group sets. One thing that I've noticed is the brakes. On the Veloce the blocks are of one piece constuction, but on others the rubbers are replaceable. You may also find that some of the fittings (nuts & bolts) tend to be of a higher quality. Titanium rather that steel.

Until U/T cranks came out the lower Q-factor of Chorus and Record cranks was a difference that was desireable for some. I don't know if there is any difference in the Q-factor of U/T cranks between groupsets though. Would someone care to enlighten me?
The Chorus cassette is a lot lighter than the lower items but you don't need to upgrade the whole groupset just for this of course.
