Hi folks.

What kind of bottom bracket does my Raleigh Randonneur need? Also, what tool should I use to remove the cranks and chainset?

I'd learn to drive but I'm two tyred............................(coat in hand, our hero quietly exeunts)

All depends on whether or not the crankset is original. What make is it?

First step is to buy a crank extractor, to remove the crank bolts and pull the chainset off of the bottom bracket spindle.

It'll almost certainly be a square tapered bottom bracket - Shimano replacements are the default choice.
