Hi,

I am nearing completing my 1st road bike. I have a probelm though. I am working with 8 speed and need a cassette. 1st probelm is what ratio do i need 2nd probelm being that i need a locknut? do these come with cassette if not what size do i need and where do i buy this?

    Are you using Campag or Shimano?

    I've got an old Campag 13-23 eight speed cassette that's close to going on eBay if you're interested.

    Will depend on preference/use and availablity. 13-23 will avoid huge gaps in ratios, but 23 might not give you a low enough bottom gear, itself depending in part on what front rings you are running.

    Shimano cassette comes with lockring, campag doesn't.
