bike stolen

Hi, i have just got into these cycling sportives, and just come back from doing the novi coli in italy. the problam i have was my bike was stolen from the hotel when i was there, although the hotel said it was insured whilst using their lock system, they were very defensive when they were put on the spot about claiming for the bike. Has anyone got any experience about claming for a bike in italy or any advice on italy insurance, legal system. A bit late for me though one bit of advice i can give is to use your own lock with the hotel's you are staying with for that added security. TRUST NO ONE!.

    Hi, thanks for the reply i am a member of the CTC so i will give them a call to see if they can help. I will let people know how it turns out. Bike insurance is going to be more important as more people go abroad to these excellent cycling events.
