Hi
I had a close shave with white van man from hdnl.co.uk who decided that a safe distance to pass was a close as he wanted so I emailed the chairman.
I got this reply back in only a few minutes:

Thank you for your email, details of which have been forwarded to me for further investigation.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the negligence displayed by this driver and thank you for taking the time to bring the details to our attention.
By copy of this email, I have asked the General Manager of our Corby Depot to investigate this incident.
Please be assured that we do take any complaints regarding the behaviour of our driving staff seriously and I can confirm that the appropriate corrective action will be taken against our employee at the conclusion of the investigation.
As a large Transport Organisation we work hard to ensure that the safety of our employees, other road users and the general public are not compromised by bad practice or behaviour on the part of our employees.
May, I apologise on behalf of Home Delivery Network Ltd for any inconvenience that you may have experienced.

I vaguely knew Walter in a previous job.
He's Chief Exec of HDNL. He'll delete that email as soon as he sees it - if it even gets past his PA.
But at least you got a response though.road0 -
You might want to delete those email addies.0

I'd say it's rather alarming you got that reply so quickly - obviously they keep it in stock for incidents like that! Better than no reply I guess. Ask if they have a marketing / press department and if they would like to comment to their local paper on the issue. Always wanted to threaten that!0
