    Hmm?. In London it's more typically one less person on overcrowded trains, tubes and busses, not one less car.

    I tend to signal left mainly because if anything happens, I can then say "I signalled"....legal implications not yet tried or tested!

    I also tend to signal when riding in to work because I ride with PeteinSQ who cannot signal left because he cannot balance (!) so i do it for both of us (mainly i sit behind him)

    Plus I don't ride in the gutter so if I slow sufficiently, you never know if some total numpty is going to undertake you just as you want to turn left (as happens at lights - time for a quick str-eee-tchhh)
