  • Stage 17: Simoni....it's almost his final (and best) chance to drag himself on to the podium once again. Go Gibo.

WHAAAAAAT? Sorry, but stage 16 is just a little bit too late to pick an overall winner.

My choice for stage 17: Cunego.

I really want to see Gibo take a stage, but DC was hot on his heels up the Tre Cime. Sadly, I don't think Simoni will be able to get on the podium, especially with the TT on Saturday.
  • Not that its my prediction, but surely Rassmussen will try something?

I guess its pushing it to expect Iban Mayo to be anywhere near the front today...

    stage 17: Simoni

(I am trying to convince myself that he is a better choice than Piepoli)

    Hi folks.

    Stage 17: Gilberto Simoni

Surely Gibo has had this down as a red letter day since the 2007 calenders were printed?

    Cheers, Andy

I've got this nagging suspiscion that DDL is actually going to prove himself a worthy winner today and destroy the field - or at least Gibo, O'Cunego, and Mazzoleni. But I think, perhaps, maybe, I don't know, I'll go with:

    Stage 17: Andy Schleck!!!

But then maybe Garzelli will really go for it and stick himself back in the top 5!

    Herd of gnus?
    No! What's the news?
