  • Tim,

Regarding that deshaker filter . . . does that eliminate the wobble effect that associated with the ATC cameras ? Or just the general rattle and shakes of being attached directly to the bike?

  • I have a couple of questions. Firstly, what software suite do people use to edit with? Windows Movie Maker is good, but I need to save to an unusual size (as below) and would prefer to use MPEG4 rather than WMV.

Also, has anyone noticed how YouTube advises everyone to upload movies in resolution 320x240 and then embeds them at 425x350? I think this is why stuff is starting to look heavily pixelated. Not clever. Movie Maker only allows me to save at 320x240 (enlarged so looks bad) or 640x480 (v large filesize).

    Any recommendations? Thanks.

  • Garybee, I was using a bog standard 3mp Kodak digital camera. I had it zip-tied to the underneath of the stem (hence the cables), and I had put a bit a dense foam accros the top to dampen the vibration where the camera was up against the bars/stem. I was reall quite impressed with the result, there is a lot less pixalating than some of the helmet cam footage around.

As for going up, well I don't think the memory card was big enough, so we'll leave it at that shall we[:I]

  • Charlotte, thanks.

The camera was less than œ100, it really is a bog standard digital compact camera. I used 6 zip ties, 2 each end, and a couple through the others at the bottom to stop them Seperating and the camera falling out!!! Plus a 3" strip of foam between the camera and the bike. Really simple.

I did tie the wriststrap around the cable just in case mind[:I]

  • I've treated myself to a copy of Adobe Elements now. Not too expensive, and does more things to video than I will probably ever use.

  • Arch, if someone gives you a dirty look, speak into an invisible microphone and say, "It's definitely him Sarge, you're ok to do the raid now."
