2007 Metric Century a month Challenge

Time for everyone to start thinking about the 2007 challenge.
Here are the basic rules for 2007.
The rules are shown below. Anyone can join and complete their first ride by 31 Jan 2007. No starters or double rides to catch up after 31 January 2007.
The challenge is very basic. You must ride one metric century 100 km or 62.18 miles per month to succesfully complete the challenge. In addition, you may ride as many as you want and there will also be a points system to award to the person who rides the most metric centuries.
The RULES are:
1. One metric century each month.
2. Each metric century is worth one (1) point. Double metrics are worth two points and so on.
3. Tie breaker will be total mileage.
4. Keep only one post per participant and you go in and edit your post with each new ride. A seperate thread will be kept (perhaps in conjunction with the Mileage Century a month challenge (if the group agrees) to exchange commentary on each ride.
5. For Brevet rides or anything else lasting longer than one continous day, the date the ride completed is the date posted. (Your post would look something like this, 14 May 4 Points 403.29 KM Total Points 14 Total KM's 1,429.76)
6. Yes, just keep editing your original posts and delete any commentary.
Your post would look something like this.
8 Jan 1 Point 63.88M/102.73KM Total Points 1 Total KM 102.73
16 Jan 1 Point 65.27M/104.97KM Total POints 2 Total KM 207.70
12 Feb 1 Point 64.90M/104.37KM Total POints 3 Total KM 312.07
Or you can put your totals at the bottom of the post.
You can also just put your distance in KM only if that is your gauge.
On the (2007 Metric & Imperial Chat)thread, you describe your ride and all your commentary to keep this thread neet and tidy.
If you are in for the challenge, post your name saying you are in. Then edit your post, using this as a guide to post your first ride.
With thanks to the Spinnerman.
Cheers

Yep, I'm in again. Did a lot more riding this year because of the challenge. And it's a good idea to have just one chat thread (metric and imperial together).0

Sounds like a great idea. Count me in.
If it wasn't for hangovers, I'd ride everyday.0 -
Splendid. Game on. Can anyone recommend some decent winter tights?
EDIT 2007-01-23: Haven't got anywhere so far. It's either been raining or I've been drunk at the weekends so far. Last chance this weekend and it's just turned proper brass monkeys. Ho-hum.

Count me in. A bad year this yer due to back and knee injuries so here goes for 2007.
If you are fit, you don't need exercise. If you are unfit, the last thing you need is exercise.I have only two things to say to that; Bo***cks0 -
I'm in. This looks like a good target as a newbie, as long as my poor wimpy 52-year-old joints can find some sun to cycle in during January and February.
And the weather was mostly nice today [:D] Only the second I've ever done, so well pleased.
14/1: 111km, 1 point. Wickwar, Tytherington, Littleton, Berkeley, Purton, Slimbridge, Frocester, Tetbury, Shipton Mayne, Sherston, Hawkesbury, Wickwar.
February: Damn the weather, a heavy cold and work trips [:(!]
3/3: 125km, 1 point. Wickwar, Chepstow, Monmouth, Kington, Old Radnor.0 -
Having completed 2006s challenge I'll give it another go, the challenge in 2006 was the only thing that got me out and riding in late July after my crash.
