Max cassette Shimano grx

Shimano website suggests max cassette is a 34. Can I get a 36 on there ? - I know with my road bikes I can put a 32 on what is suggested by Shimano as a 30 max.

    You'll get a 36 on easy. I'm running a 46-30 at the front and 11-40 at the back without problems.

    I suspect chainstay length may affect things though - this setup is on a tourer with long chainstays, which makes the chainline angles less acute.
