Some sketchy roads in the finale. Some of them were as little as 10 metres wide. That's just too narrow for US riders.

Bizarre ruling saying TJV was in final 3k when crash occured (he wasn't) so reinstating his race lead on GC. However as he was chasing on he was impeded (a bit) by a crash that was inside 3 k . He may have got back on if that 2nd crash had not occured. 6 of one half s dozen of the other

So I have just seen.
The rule is that you have to be in the bunch at 3kms to get the same time and no way was TJ in the bunch, or even close.
Plus, the crash wasn't even inside 3kms and they admit it!
AToC joke WT event, once again.

And Moscon should have lost a minute as well. He was caught up in the second crash. Very odd.

That decision is ridiculous, it wipes out the massive effect of TVG's first crash, and the way he went off course subsequently.
That was tense and exciting to watch (when it was till then, so dull) and they have simply wiped it all from existance - nonsense.

A similar thing happened on stage 1 of the 2013? Tour. Contador crashed outside the 3km and then got held up by another crash inside the 3km. He didn't get his time back.

Anyway Uncle Pat's predictably not happy: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/lefever ... -decision/

I quite like the racing at the TOC. That decision was a bit off I must say. It has its own style us racing. The ameteur vibe has its charm . like a club race on a village circuit.

Yeah?

I took a decision not to watch any racing outside of Western Europe (basically nothing east of Trieste) a couple years ago and I have to say, I don't miss any of the other races at all.

I imagine that historical context is probably relevant in some roundabout way....

I think he'd be happy if he could stick to northern France and Benelux!

That final corner has produced a loser going wide result on multiple occasions

The historical context of no longer having to see how Tomekke does in the Arabian peninsula in the early season to gauge his form for the coming cobbles?

EF manage to pull off the dumbest tactical move of the season in Cali.
With Pogocar already isolated, George Bennett attacks and EF's leader, Higita goes with him: the aim being to bridge up to the sizeable breakaway that has 2 Jumbo riders in it. The 3 EF riders behind, instead of sitting on the UAE leaders wheel, chase, bringing Pogocar up with them.
Numpties: made in the USA.

Not that it mattered too much, as the cameras left the race at this crucial point to watch the women finish.
After they had done crying, the link went down.
Double numpties, made in the USA.

No wonder Trump needs to slap tariffs on Chinese goods. :P
