assuming I have understood correctly - the key thing would be the frame. a rim bike frame won't take disc brakes

or at least forks to run a weird disc front/caliper rear set up?

then different front brifter, disc wheel disc, caliper.

I have an old Di2 groupset from an old bike which had rim brakes so I just want to upgrade that then put it all onto the disc frame and wheels I have.

Hopefully that makes more sense :-)

how old? we here understand that old old stuff is not compatible with new stuff, so there may be a chance new hydro shifters will not work with old mechs.

di2 expert input required.

otherwise brifters, calipers, hoses, maybe new cables if they have changed......... electric cables obviously.

It's not an upgrade. Just different.

Plus some 140mm discs and you're set.

Plus these for BH90, so you can shorten the hoses to an appropriate length. Maybe a bleed kit too.
