Brake Blocks for Tektro R530

Postby blu3cat » Mon Mar 30, 2009 11:09 am

Am looking to replace my Brake Blocks on my road bike and wondered what experience people have.

I have Tektro R530 brakes (factory fitted) and the blocks are not good, spongy and they eat my rims given the chance.

I believe the blocks are Shimano Ultegra / DA compatible cartridges, but I am not sure, does anyone have any idea?

I am looking for something that has really good stopping power in both wet and dry, longevity is of secondary importance.

I ride Aluminium Shimano RS10 rims and would appreciate any advice

Your brakes will accept any Shimano-compatible pad. For more 'bite' try Koolstop salmons or one of the dual-compound pads.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Monty Dog, thanks for the adfvice, I was looking at the Koolstop ones, now I know the brakes are comptible with the standard Shimano pads, I will give 'em a go. :)
