Re: Cutting a cervelo steerer help please

If the fork is carbon it won't have a star nut in it, but a bung that unscrews. Just search on you tube and watch a few videos before you even pick up the hacksaw

Re: Canyon bikes, no top cap

Reckon 1.1/4 won't fit a standard stem.. So do all canyons have a 1 1/4 steerer, and the same size stems. ??

Canyon bikes, no top cap

Went on a ride tonight with a lad on a canyon bike, I was really impressed with the top cap on the bike, There wasn't one, it looks like some sort of ring fitted which finishes off the look. http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww143/tristantdi/Mobile%20Uploads/16cdeada9484b54097daf01148fddef9_zps313c...

Re: S Work Ceramic Bearings

I have an SL2 s works roubaix and run a Campag converter to change it from BB30 to ultra torque, I steered away from ceramic bearings as they are not good for the uk weather, Constantly need maintenance

Re: Loud free hub suddenly went quiet

Probably a pawl sticking. Fulcrum wheels are ace.
I reckon you just got a bad set.

A noise change will be likely to a pawl, only a v minor issue

Re: S Works SL 2. Roubaix

The gold thing on the chainring is an adjuster for the oval chain rings as you can micro adjust then

Not touched that yet

S Works SL 2. Roubaix

Bought this frame from Ebay turned out to be a right bargain as he had really looked after it. I then built the bike up using my current group set and wheels, put the saddle on but it's only 130mm wide so thinking of changing that out. Bars are coming off soon as I don't like them any more, I've had...

Mine are silent too, it's all down to the amount of grease on the pawls.

Re: RAM bars and Garmins

That would work maybe but shoot me $89

Mine don't have any holes drilled and I don't like the idea of drilling them in case it weakens them, that's why I was looking at the option of a stem spacer type one,

Get a bike fit I just had my saddle dropped on mine by 40 mm and it stopped my saddle sore instantly. Well worth the money.

Where are you based ? I went to Colin Gardener in Preston and he was ace
