Re: Shoe sizing

Personally, other people may differ, have always gone up at least one size, sometimes two. I am like you a 42 in normal shoes but have one pair of cycling shoes in a 43 and one in a 44. As you suggest you really need to try them on, preferably with the socks you would normally cycle in. Obviously li...

I think it is the more the lack of a contingency plan which is being discussed here not the severity of a typhoon.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2019

The aspect nobody appears to have touched on here is that the teams who reach the next stage by only playing three games are being handed an advantage over those playing four. Extra rest time between games and of course less chance of injury. You could argue that England - France would have been the...

Re: British Wildlife Decline

My local builder always gets his plans approved, his mother is head of planning on our City Council, green, brown or any other zone, it matters not, it goes ahead. Luckily a few foxes still scrape a living in the bit of green space that has not yet been bulldozed and turned over to over priced house...

Mathew, you have posted perhaps five or six answers but not yet bollocked the bloke who posted the picture of his bike with some stem showing.

Are you losing your touch?

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

Sorry, I am new to the pseudo intelligenza, just go for a pint where it ain't expensive! Define expensive... My UK local has just gone to £3.00. My local out here I get two bottles of Superbock for 2 Euros (33cl bottles) so way more than a pint for £2.00 near as damn it. I am happy with these prices.

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

The apprentice is very much entertainment . Silly tasks for them to mess up as they haven't the expertise or time to make a success of them. Everything working great wouldn't make for a prime time tv show. Sure they get the candidates to be outrageous - I can't believe that people are like that Go ...

Re: Are B&Q sheds rubbish?

Colin Furze on YouTube made a smart one! I want to build my own next year, but I don't think I'll have the time. Probably going to join two large ones together on a concrete pad. #massiveshed Mathew, this may be a step too far for you but I butted mine up to to back of the garage, cut a doorway int...

Re: Are B&Q sheds rubbish?

Build it yourself using good bearers, beams and uprights with tongue and groove. It works out cheaper and you get whatever shape and size you want. Don't buy the timber from B&Q though as it will be sh1te. Use TP or similar. Agree, this is what I did. I had a manhole in the way so had to work a...

I also had 2 days training on Lotus 123 back in the 90s even though I never needed to use it Haha, I'd still been using Lotus 123 until a couple of years ago on some basic stuff (I've actually got it installed on this laptop), until I got into Google Sheets. The proper spreadsheet programs all were...

As others have said, learnt it by using it. Started on Lotus version, was it Lotus 123 or something?

She will find with Excel that despite a plethora of features you just end up using the same few.

Re: Seemingly trivial things that intrigue you

Excrement. Sitting at a café today on my ride and watching people go by. This was not a large city by any means but loads of people going about their business.

Got me thinking if everyone in the world did a number 2 each day just how much excrement that would produce.

Must be a helluva lot.
