Re: Which tyres for sonder transmitter?

Suggestion would be much appreciated here...the WTB Trail Boss and Vigilante in 2.6 and 2.8 at front are great for trail individually, but man, they’re draggy. It’s like pushing through mud on tarmac. I also find 2.8 at front overkill. Thank you... I have the 2.5 vig at the front and 2.4 trail boss...

Re: Rear specific tyre

Continental Trail King 2.2" with the black chilli compound. It MUST have the bcc! If it doesn't say bcc then it's not! If it has a wire bead then its not bcc. The TK tyre is astonishing. For a grippy tyre, it is more fast rolling than it has a right to be, and has good life as long as you don'...

Re: All rounder

[quote="katoosh"]Hi all, Another roadie here looking to get into more off road stuff. I'm looking for a good all rounder which I can use on local countryside/woodland trails (mostly flat) but will also be good at the odd bike park and trips up to the Scottish mountain trails (Seven Stains,...

Re: Rear specific tyre

a 2.4 to 2.6 will never be great in sloppy conditions, too much width and it sits on top and doesn't dig through the mud to the surface below, consider dropping to something like a 2.25 (Nobby Nic Pace compound is my favoured winter tyre) Okay many thanks it is something I have thought about going ...

Re: Calibre two cubed or Line 20?

Both good bikes depending on your budget. How far can it stretch the new line 29 is out if you want a 29er and looks mint. But if the budget is important than the line 20 looks decent for that little bit more. The two cubed has or is being replaced now by the two 3 again looks a great budget bike. T...

Rear specific tyre

Hi, currently looking for advice I have searched on the forum and can't find any answers to help my exact needs. On my Sonder Evol (which is a beast still for the price) I have a WTB Trail Boss 2.4, Tough Fast Rolling 27.5 on the rear and recently after the weather changes and few of my local trails...

https://www.alpkit.com/sonder/bikes/sonder-transmitter-sx-eagle-recon Really, really like it. Would be my first 27.5. Really want steel, but think the weight issue is ...the issue. Not the same bike but I have a sonder evol and they are great bikes. Have already ragged it senseless round local trai...

Re: Bike advice

Thanks for your responses. Following this, I've seen some reviews of some people stating that they've slipped on wet surfaces with the stock tyres. Can you recommend good tyres for me to change to if necessary? I use a hybrid regularly for daily commute. Best advice would be if you did get that bik...

Re: £1600 full suspension

Yep will be the sonder. Have just spoke to them and they will do a more budget friendly dropper for a lot less, the x-fusion manic. So least it comes all suited and booted. Sounds great. Good service with the dropper too. Make sure you post some pics up when you get it. Sonder is a great little bra...

Re: Felt or Calibre?

Ok thanks for the advice, I'll steer clear of the felt! Definitely I have done a lot of research of the last 12 months etc on budget bikes. There is a review out on the two cubed from mbr I think stating there is nothing comparable to it at the price range. It won the new sub 375 hardtail of the ye...

Re: £1600 full suspension

I love the Sonder, but you'd need to add a dropper post too. Thanks again for your response Is the one I linked to decent enough for the money if I then add a dropper? It says +250 for the dropper which take sit up to 1850 but it's for a pretty decent dropper as far as I'm aware saves upgrading it ...
