Re: BREXIT - I think I Can, I Think I Can, I Know I Can, I Know I Can...?...Ans- Sat 19th Oct?

The Tory rebels are all saying they will vote for the deal but want more time to scrutinise before formally ratifying the WA. If I heard right then they are being asked to vote on one of the most important ballots in our lifetime without being able to read the full document. This is nuts! Can I int...

Wrong thread, but if only I had the will power to avoid that sort of thing in Cake Stop :D

Re: Join the Labour Party and save your country!

What puzzles me is that in the run up to the referendum we were told by the Leave campaign it would be very simple and quick to get a good deal if they won.

But that doesn't seem to be the case. Did they not realise that?

Re: BREXIT - Like Sons of Anarchy. It goes on and on and on.

Absolutely accept that this is an "Am I alright Jack' question but does anyone know what effect this would have on citizens rights, especially those of us who work in the EU? Good, bad or nothing? Unfortunately I feel our country (much as I ve tried to make it not mine) is about to be suckered...

Re: BREXIT - Like Sons of Anarchy. It goes on and on and on.

I'm impressed BoJo has done the seemingly impossible. He's come back with May's deal plus making the backstop unnecessary by putting NI in their own customs area (seemingly) permanently. Except once the rest of the UK start trying to do trade deals the distinction will cause real trouble. If takes ...

Re: Donald Trump

Seems I was wrong about Trump - he's certainly got some pretty devastating insight about the Middle East and Syria They've got a lot of sand over there. So there's a lot of sand that they can play with. It's hard to argue with that. Well, it's hard to argue with the sort of mentality that produced ...

Re: BREXIT - Like Sons of Anarchy. It goes on and on and on.

None of this makes the Benn Act go away. Let's see what happens on Saturday in Parliament. He needs all 286 who voted for May deal. -1 he lost in the bye election +all 28 Spartans Plus 7 more from Labour/Libdems 320. (per John Rentoul) Seen Junckers statement on there being no extension? That chang...

Denis Staunton @denisstaunton Irish side believes Varadkar/Johnson meeting has produced the basis for renewed negotiations between UK and EU. A tunnel could be in sight.
