Re: General query: is Average Speed flawed on most cycling computers?

Hi. Strava does tend to want to alter your average speed. Not sure why but I read some forums on this and it appears to be the auto pause settings. Strava tend to use its own calculation. In terms of settings I would set your computer at auto for the tyre size as this can be effected by tyre pressur...

Re: Packable lightweight jacket. Advice olease

Thanks for your replies. I think I will go for the Fs260. Seems to get good reviews. The Shakedry is obviously the leader but fir my use I think the FS260 will do. I can then put the money I save towards some new bib shorts :D :D

Thanks for your replies. I appreciate 200 will leave a degree of discomfort. Did it a couple of years ago using DHB Aeron waist shorts. Need to replace so looking at options and maybe an upgrade. Will review all of the recommendations thanks again.

Garmin 1000 elevation not accurate

Hi My garmin edge 1000 appears to constantly give low recordings of elevation gain. About 20% compared to other devices that are recording the same route. I have read some forums and have manually set my home elevation. Are there any other things I can do to rectify or is something I need to live wi...

Re: Shorts for longer rides

Quite flexible on budget although value is a factor. Doing regular 50 to 60 miles. Did 100 last week and I think my pad is a bit worn on my current pair. Will be doing 200 next month in a day so looking to be comfortable.

Shorts for longer rides

Hi I am looking to purchase some new shorts. I am doing a few more miles and I am in the market to replace my current pair ( DHB aeron waist shorts). I have tended to use waist shorts rather than bib but would consider bib if the replies indicated I would be better in them from a comfort view. Any a...

Re: How do you keep fingers and toes warm ?

I have the same problem with my feet. I asked the question on this forum and got a lot of informative replies. I bought some Woolie boolies but haven’t been out yet due to work commitments. I would suggest over shoes as well. Link attached https://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40042&t...

Re: Garmin Upload Issues

Have you connected the Garmin using the USB cable and tried to Sync using a physical connection? I have an edge 1000 and if I end the ride away from my wifi connection I occasionally have to physically connect the device to the computer to upload. No idea why but it does upload the ride for me.

Re: Mudguards

I have the the SKS on a Specialized tarmac and would recommend. Just a point to consider the toe clearance on the tarmac is quite small. When I fitted my front guard I caught my foot on the guard when manouvering and the guard drags on the wheel which can make you lose your balance. Not too much of ...
