Re: Bottom bracket or wheel bearing?

I had a very similar thing to this. For me, it turned out I was under tensioning the crank BB bolt (shimano HTII) before tightening the LHS crank onto the bottom bracket axle. There was a little bit of unwanted creaky movement there otherwise.

Re: Handbuilt wheels... the big thread

Rd clearance is real the other reason is spurious. The Ds bracing angle is so low that difference it makes is so small it makes no difference. I checked rd clearance too with campagnolo 12 speed. With the rd set properly I could not create a problem. Strange one then. Can't imagine it being an issu...

Re: Handbuilt wheels... the big thread

Well the wheel I built not interlaced was very stiff and there was no issue with tensions. The tensions of the spokes on the DS was the same. I still cant see why I need to interlace. Structurally there is no reason. The hub should not care if the spokes are interlaced or not. Ugo rebuild might hav...

When opening a box of tablets, I will always choose the end with the information leaflet folded over the blister pack. https://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40088&t=12887900 :D A repeater. Shame on me  It is annoying though. I did it again this morning, but I think I've got it ...

That they leave the audio on for the helocopter camera in the race coverage. I probably can still tell which shot is coming from the helicopter vs the moto. I tuned into it and now can't tune out.

Re: Is Goretex pants?

It's about comfort range. You can overwhelm any shell, including a soft shell such as a Gabba. You can overwhelm a short sleeve race jersey on a summers evening if you're working hard. I have a DHB Event shell which I quite like as a wind proof when it's really cold and dry. If the pace is steady, i...

Re: Rusting stainless spokes

never seen a sapim spoke rust. They use a 18/10 stainless steel. This is as stainless as spokes get. If the sapim is rusting then a DT or pillar would rust under the same conditions. They steel used in all top end end spokes is basically the same grade. it is the grade of steel that determines corr...

I have a wheel built with Sapim Strong's that is rusting. Very slow though I think so I'll probably wear the rim out first.

Ducatti's sound 'orrible but I do like the Desmodromic valve system. Very clever. Will the quote quotes finally get down to single letters and be spread over 5 pages?!
