Congratulations on your weight loss! Also some glasses shield your eyes so you don’t look like your crying the whole way round.

Re: Newbie (again, sort of)

Thanks for the comments folks. Looking forward to getting my first miles under my belt tomorrow morning hopefully. Been around the block a few times adjusting the fit and feels a steady ride. Already missing the gear indicators on top of the shifters as my old bike had these with the Sora groupset a...

Re: Newbie (again, sort of)

From memory the Allez Sport had Sora, the Non Sport Allez had Claris. Your new one maybe a Non Sport or they may have down graded the spec to meet a price point. Yes your bang on Wayne. I’m not sure il notice a difference anyway however I do remember on the old Allez thinking I could have done with...

Newbie (again, sort of)

Hello again everyone, Thought I’d re introduce myself again as I haven’t been on here for 3 years or so. I’m Jamie I’m 30 years old from Redditch. To cut a long story short I used to own a Specialized Allez Sport 2015 which I loved, but regrettably sold due to not having the room for two bikes (opte...

Re: Suntour rebound adjuster has shot off!!

Many thanks everyone for all the help and advice. I’ve finally sourced the parts from a company in the uk and thankfully nothing seems to have been damaged it was just a case of re fitting the rebound bolt and adjuster. Time to get back to riding after 2 years :O

Re: Suntour rebound adjuster has shot off!!

Looking at THIS DIAGRAM it sounds as if you have lost parts 4 and 5. If 5 screws in to the bottom of the LO-R Unit (11) then that would explain the clunking. That’s exactly what I’m missing yes thanks for the help. I’ve been trying to upload pictures but my photo bucket isn’t working. I’ve phoned H...

Re: Suntour rebound adjuster has shot off!!

The rebound adjuster has nothing to do with air pressure in the fork. It is used to adjust the speed at which the fork extends following compression. If the fork is bottoming out you need to increase the air pressure and set the sag using a shock pump. There are plenty of guides on line explaining/...

Suntour rebound adjuster has shot off!!

Out riding along a canal path last weekend and I heard a ping noise. Thought nothing of it and continued riding only to notice my rebound adjuster bolt has shot off. The forks are still holding air but are clunking when the inside chamber is hitting the bottom of the stanchion. Do I just need to buy...

Re: Training for a 1 mile climb (Shaley Brow)

Just a heads up I rode a hill local to me on my mountain bike, then purchased my first road bike, and the lowest gear on my road bike (Specialized Allez) is a lot tougher than on the mountain bike with its granny gear. I was a lot faster on the road bike though.
