Re: keeping hens in the garden

We have four hens. Given the cost of feed it would be cheaper to buy the eggs from a shop.

Re: Campagnolo 11-speed cable pull changed?

The way to tell the difference is all the 2015+ products have an A in a square molded or printed on them somewhere eg.

Have you got the cable correctly routed at the derailleur clamp? There is a groove on one side below the bolt that the cable sits in.

The fitting is the same all the way through from 105 to Dura Ace.
The only difference is weight and bling.

Re: DI2 TT shifter question

Thanks. A bit more googling suggests it will work.

It seems that it is only the sprint shifters that have to be plugged into STI's.

DI2 TT shifter question

I'm thinking of turning on of my bike into a TT bike. It has a DI2 groupset.

Can the DI2 bar end TT shifters be used on their own (with mechanical brake levers) or do the brake levers need to be DI2 too?

Have you got the cassette spacers in the correct order? There are two different sizes and they have to be in the right order.

Try the Shimano chain again and check it is on the right way round (with the writing on the outer face).

How often are you changing gear? It goes to sleep if not being used regularly and wakes up again at the next gear change.

Probably rolling resistance. GP4s take about 50% more watts that GP4000II.

Re: Crack or normal?!?!

The join is usually directly opposite the valve so the weight of the join balances out the weight of the valve (to some degree).

You might need a longer chain. everything else will be fine assuming it is all 10 speed.

Re: Stages - reliability vs 4iiii or Pioneer

I had two Stages power meters, a Dura Ace and an Ultegra. Both were v2. Both units were check for firmware updates before each ride. The DA was replaced within a week for power/cadence dropouts. The replacement lasted 6 months then started eating batteries. They would last 48hrs max whether the bike...

Re: Bespoke build: Campag Chorus 2015 S2 - experience so far

Are your gear cables internally or externally routed? If they are internal and you have a problem with both the front and the rear derailleurs I would suspect that the cables might be looped over each other in the downtube. I've built two bikes with Chorus 11spd and found it very easy to fit and set...

Re: 100km vs 200km

Don't think of it as 200km.

Think of it as 60km then a stop for coffee and cake then another 60km to stop for lunch then another 60km and a stop for afternoon tea (and cake) then 20km back to the start.

Easy!

Re: Rounded bolt / bottom bracket guide removal

I'm guessing that you want to remove the guide to thread the cable?

Just run the cable through the down tube and use a magnet on the outside of the tube to guide it. No need to remove the guide.

Have you tried putting the wheel in the other way round? that will tell you if it is the dishing or the frame.

Try SJS Cycles or Spa Cycles. Steel or Ti though, not Alu.
