Re: oh dear, what a shame.

I would save yourself some suffering. It's too big a leap for people who believe in capital punishment, to realise that revenge isn't justice. To realise, that there is no justice, and that these crimes, are all our responsibilty in some way. It's our society, we are in it, we can change it. The cr...

Re: oh dear, what a shame.

how anyone can gain any sort of pleasure out of this whole situation is beyond me. Considering what he did quite easily. That is part of the whole situation in what i was saying. is him being murdered in any way going to make what he did any less bad? no will killing him make any children safer? no...

Re: Last Film Watched

Joker Really good, outstanding physical performance by Joaquin Phoenix, he will be one of the favourites for the best actor Oscar I was left wondering whether it was a deliberate decision to mark his final descent from being an abused child into the Joker with a song by a convicted paedophile! I th...

Cannondale Synapse?

It's a bit confusing your fast as feck, but looking at an endurance type geometry?

E.g. Cannondale pure race is the Super Six versus their Endurance/Cobble section Synapse.

I would look at best bike awards from the industry media and go with one of those.

Re: Amplifier for use only with a turntable

I bought https://www.whathifi.com/onkyo/9010/review https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/nfeymcNeV5aHhdDcYCDLZn-970-80.jpg For about £160 after shopping around, delighted with it. I like a lot of different types of music and it all sounds good. Paired with some Q acoustics speakers.

Re: BBC Bias

Was known for it's lefty bias quite a few years ago. AFAIK lately, BBC has employed ex Murdoch editors and staff, so have gone the other way. Terrified of Corbyn, awful biased coverage against him. The watershed moment for me not watching any TV 'news' was when I saw (can't remember what channel) &q...

Re: Any good cycling books (biography, cycling history)

Just finished Jonathan Vaughters’ book. Not without its flaws but straightforward, unapologetic, insightful and honest - much like, I assume, the author himself. Great insights into what it takes (and tolls) to be an aspiring amateur, pro, team manager, man/adult/human. Recommended. Cheers, will gi...

Wow! What an incredibly tough but rewarding day - 10kgs too heavy, 10 degrees too hot (36c in the forest) and at least 20 watts fewer than I would have liked. At least I had the sense to fit a 34T rear cassette! I found the Malaucene climb straight forward enough, took my time during the 10-12% sec...

I'm 1st of 1. Made in my local Tesco car park in the early hours of a Sunday morning, when it was empty. Don't see anybody beating it anytime soon
