Need a bike for two weeks!

A bit of a random one really, has anybody got a spare bike I can borrow for a couple of weeks that's close to Derbyshire? I'm in the army and currently live in Germany but I'm back for two weeks as of Saturday and want to do some riding. I'm 6"2 so would have to be a 58-ish frame. Will be willi...

If it's your first ever race, just aim to finish it! And considering how long it is, that would be impressive in itself to most normal people!

Re: Need advise

Nobody wants to crash... I'd been riding clipless for 4 months before I had my first fall due to not being able to unclip! But that was thanks to exhaustion more than anything!

The wheel has done about 1500 miles lol! I've stripped it and regreased it, it wasn't dry but it has sorted the wobble out :) Thanks for the input guys!

RS30 wheel wobble

My Shimano RS30 rear wheel has developed a wobble from side to side, it's definitely the bearings, however I do not have a clue what to do? Do I just need to tighten the hub? Or does the entire hub require a regrease? Any help would be much welcome!

Re: Pinarello FTP unocarbon veloce v ribble r872 d12 ?

If you're spending that much money on a bike, i'd make the decision yourself, that's a lot of money to waste if we all tell you to go for the Ribble and then you find you can't get on with it... Test ride them, and decide for yourself, it's not like you're spending £300 on a bike here! Buy the one y...

Re: Picker her up today! im in luuurrvvee

Very nice bike! Sounds like you have been lucky with the clipless pedals too! However I was lucky for the first 2 months, and then after an exhausting 100 miles, I was 5 or so miles from home and stopped at some traffic lights and just couldn't unclip lol! So I went sideways  It's all part of t...

Re: halfords £200 road bike

I started my riding on a £90 Totem Pro. I thought it was a pro bike, it made me feel pro anyway! It only takes a cheapo machine to get bitten by the cycling bug! However I now sometimes take it for a spin to the shops, and wonder how I used to ride it so much, it's not a pleasant experience! :...

Have you looked at the Specialized Allez? As for £725 you could get the sport model which has carbon forks... But i'm no expert lol

If i'm out alone, I ride the whole distance i'm doing without stopping, unless my riding clashes with Lunch time... But when out with the club we always stop for coffee and cake :) It's the right thing to do ;)

Re: First seriously hilly ride - I need help!

Perhaps you just need to ride the hills more then... Why not head to the Peak District on the weekend, plenty of hills out there! :) Or park your car at Matlock and ride up and down the Via Gelia a few times, that'll sort your climbing fitness out and your descending confidence! :D
