Re: Girls Cycling Cambridge/St Neots region

Yes as stated Cambridge tri club ride is the best bet on Saturdays. Lots of women, including pro and semi pro level for faster rides and slower groups as well. Camb CC and st Neots CC on sundays are best bet. If you start at IVC one thing to note is very few head back there, usually dispersing as th...

Re: P1s pedals shutting down mid ride?

Yeah absolutely no power or cadence info for the time period, nearly alway about 1min. Done a couple of rides now to see if it would fix, but still the same. Had a long decent and it happened then. It’s like it’s just switching off. Should I contact powertap or the suppliers? Hey thanks for the link...

Re: P1s pedals shutting down mid ride?

Yes brand new with brand new lithium aaa battery. Firm ware is up to date. I couldn’t find an option in the powertap app and nothing on my 520headunit. Is there any lag that you have noticed when starting from stopped?? Cheers When i had my P1 pedals i never got this. They turn off after 4 minutes ...

P1s pedals shutting down mid ride?

Hi all just a quick question, Just received some powertap P1s pedals, it seems that when I stop at traffic lights/anywhere they lose connection and don’t restart again when I set off. I have to go into the menu and turn off/on the sensor to pick it up again. Is this because they have a ‘time out’ sh...

Re: Kinesis 4S Disc

Hey quick question. :-) I'm just doing a build myself in this bike. Are you use 160mm front rotor and 140mm rear? Also I'm guessing you had to bend the stays on the front mud guard to fit in in that funny placed mounting point? Any reason that they have put it there on the fork? Seems odd... Thanks...

Re: The pedal question....

So with mud clearance around the cleat being the main bone of contention, do cyclocross specific shoes designs take this into account in their design?

Re: The pedal question....

I think it was more an issue with mud in the cleats rather than in the pedal at Hempton. It was only really a problem for me immediately after the run ups and wasn't really sticking in the pedals. It's a gritty sandy type of mud there. As advised above usually a good bang of the shoes clears both t...

Re: The pedal question....

Depending on how precious you are about your racing shoes, it's worth cutting out the tread around the cleat, as this prevents mud build up. cxmagazine.com have a article/video on it, using a dremel, but if you've got the patience using a sharp knife will do. I found this was by far the most effect...

The pedal question....

So after racing at Hempton today (eastern league) There was lots of running uphill/mud etc which is fine and apparently enjoyable. After the first lap I literally could not clip I to my pedals (shimano spd) It pretty much ended my race right there... I had to stop and clean them out, and the ...

I agree with you, paid for 22 spd , that's what you should have.

Very good shout. Thanks

Re: So all of my gears work apart from the rear 26..?

Ah goose that's brilliant. It makes perfect sense. I will take a good look at it all tonight when I get in from work .
It's a standard hub. And I'm not sure about the BB as it was already installed on the frame....
Thanks

Re: So all of my gears work apart from the rear 26..?

Hi Thanks It's a custom build. The guy who sold the frame was running DA Di2, I chose mechanical DA. Size m52 and chainstay is 40.5cm I've tried another wheel: DA c24 with an 11-28 ultegra cassette. Same problem. Works fine in the small chainring but couldn't hit the top in the large chainring. The ...

Re: So all of my gears work apart from the rear 26..?

Yeah thanks, that is the only option at the moment.... Still a £900 groupset should manage what a £300 groupset can do.... irrelevant of whether you need it to or not.... It's a handy gear for when racing. No body appreciates a small ring gear change, mid pack up a sharp hill.... causes accidents......

Re: So all of my gears work apart from the rear 26..?

Cheers all. So I've had it in to two separate mechanics today. (One of them a giant store) Both unable to fix it or know what is going. Not a gear I would ever really ride with that much cross chain but still something that is achievable on every other bike I've ever seen/worked on. I have replaced ...
