Recommend premium gear cable brand

Have used Yokozuna Reaction cables for years, sadly they are no longer available.

Can anyone recommend another brand which are as good? Anyone used DA, Nokon, Jagwire, or others and Yokozuna and can compare? Yokozuna stayed perfect for absolutely ages. Thanks

Yes, it's not that. Gear changes have been perfect for several years. Only two possibilities are bent hanger or the cable/routing.

Premium gear cable brand

Having issues with rear shifting, it often jumps two sprockets higher up the block, or doesn't quite line up. Have replaced inner and outer cable, chain and cassette. It's still happening. I normally use Yokozuna cables but they seem to now be unavailable, I am not 100% sure that the inner and outer...

I use an offcut of lino which cost about a fiver. Does exactly the same job.

Re: The 100 Best UK Climbs not featured in Warren's books

Bazillions of them in the Yorkshire Dales. Whenever I see that list I'm always surprised at how few are in the Dales. I'd suggest, to start, The Fleak (also known as Fleak Moss), Park Rash, Coal Road, Grinton Moor, Lamps Moss, and Lofthouse (Trapping Hill). Of course Buttertubs and Fleet Moss have ...

Re: How long to recover fitness?

If you were near your top end with 4.9 and had a lot of base fitness then I think to get back to there it may take all year. However recovering most of it will take 3-4 months, it's that last bit which is hard to get back if it took you a few years to get there. For example I got up to about the sam...

Removing PF BB from Crank and use BB30 instead of PF30?

I have a FSA MTB BB30 crank, press fit. On a ride recently somehow the left hand BB cup pulled into the frame (seemed the plastic flange came off meaning the crank then flopped around on the drive side and pulled the BB into the frame. The drive side cup is still on the crank and the crank has been ...

Keep getting redirects to dodgy web pages

On android phone and browsing pro race and keep getting redirected to 'your phone has a virus' or 'you have won an Iphone' or get 500 quid of tesco vouchers for free' webpages. Are your servers infected?

Re: Crank based PM

I have a Power2Max PM paired with a SRAM Force 22 Crank. With Power2Max you need a crank with a removable spider such as the SRAM Force (Red hasn't) or Rotor crank, there are others too. Power2Max will sell you a crank and PM together but I found a crank in a sale. Then I have a SRAM GXP BB86/92 pre...

Re: Can't get my HR high enough

Trust me I'm a doctor on BBC recently did a test of watch based optical hrms and they found them inconsistent and often very inaccurate. One person was getting half the bpm with a watch than with a proper strap. I think it was the first episode and it's still on iplayer.

I've heard from someone spectating on the roadside where Cav stopped that the kid shouted 'you look knackered' which he took exception to, swore at him and stopped to tell him to have a go instead.

32 bpm, I have quite a big stroke volume. I am reasonably fit but it being very low is more of a genetic thing I think.

I have the original 27.5 100mm Reba forks off my Anthem as I swapped to 120mm. I'm willing to sell them at a knock down price if you did want to go 27.5.

Re: Building an Anthem

I have a 2014 anthem. The bb is bb71-41a pressfit. The rear thru axle is 142 x 12 but assuming you have thru axle dropouts already fitted you'll need the specific Giant thru axle to fit. You'll need to order it through a giant dealer and it might take ages to come like mine did, i.e. Months.

Re: RockShox Monarch RL upgrade?

I bought mine from TF Tuned and they sorted the bushings out (although they did send the wrong size to start with). The ones from the Monarch did fit though.
