Re: 2015 Giant Defy

Your bike is 8kg in standard trim, you have saved weight at the most beneficial place by swopping the wheels and tyres for lighter items. The rest of the components are a reasonable weight already, you may save some weight by swopping the O.E. saddle if you don't get on with it. Already ahead of yo...

Re: 2015 Giant Defy

I own a Defy Advanced 1 2015 have upgraded the Disc wheels to a pair of Novatec JetFly's and have gained a decent weight loss combining them with the ever brilliant Continental Grand Prix 4000s tyres.

Is there anything else anyone can suggest as upgrades for me?

Thanks
Gary

Uh oh !!

I am in the middle of converting my double ring set up to a 1 x 10 so i go and find a brand new 34t ring from Blackspire and go home to fit it. I take off the left shifter, cable and front mech, and then take off the crank to take the XT rings off i currently have fitted only to unknowingly attempt ...

Converting from a 2 x 10 to 1 x 10?

Hi, is this as easy as it sounds? Do i just simply remove the left hand shifter, cable, and front mech. take off the double rings and replace with the new single ring , and do i need a chain guide/tensioner if i do not use a clutch mech??

Re: Dented steerer tube

Hi nicklouse have sorted the assembly of the stem & spacers luckily enough the stem sits below the flat spot which is no more than 10mm deep, the 10mm spacer i have sat on top of the stem is actually covers the flat spot so prob got away with it i hope?

Re: My P7 is now ScandALous !!

Am ashamed to say mate it was with the torque wrench that i did it lol lol !!

The bolt was that round i had no other way to get it off other than literally force the clamp apart with a screwdriver and claw hammer it is well and truly FBAR..d
I would send you a pic but i am embarrassed lol
