Re: TDF 2019: Stage 10, Saint-Flour > Albi 15/07/2019 - 217,5 km *Spoilers*

Listening to 'Bespoke', someone known to the commentator came across Brailsford riding part of the course (60km out) and he was well aware of the crosswinds. Rowe had apparently told Thomas in the first 20km that there was a chance to win/lose the tour today. For many of them it was wrong place, wr...

Shocking that a clearly and plainly antisemitic leadership has not already been deposed.

Front three have an incentive to keep the chases away, as Stuyven is a much faster finisher.

Group has split with the obvious riders at the front.

Roche makes a move and Stuyven gets there with consummate ease.

Postlberger sneaks off the front away from the cameras and without much effort made a 20s gap on the descent and has grown it to 45s.

Re: Seemingly trivial things that annoy you

In case anyone actually cares why they really shouldn't care The Cambridge Guide to English Usage notes that the "pressure to substitute fewer for less seems to have developed out of all proportion to the ambiguity it may provide in noun phrases like less promising results". It describes ...

Have said it before, TdG has gt overall talent in his legs but not in his head. This actually annoys me enough that I don’t really enjoy his wins. why? does the sport need another GC contender or a TDG? the latter I say. which one of the GC contenders has the know-how/talent to do what he does? fro...

Re: BREXIT - Ich Bin Auslander

Clearly the leak and the way it was so targeted at getting rid of Darroch is the biggest problem. Ambassadors can't do their job if they have to assume private briefings could become public at any point and Darroch's successor will have the same problem until that investigation is concluded (I thin...

I also think his talents are less useful in the current era. Not an argument just another point. He’s definitely wasted potential. learn to love the TDG Rick.... you can do it.... breath in .. breathe out now say TDG is one of greatest riders of his or any other generation. feel better? Haha if he ...

Re: Merckx in 2019

So I reckon him and TdG would have similar profiles, only Merckx can obviously ride in bunches and sprint better.

The differences in the effort types I think are being massively underestimated and those longer I’m-just-gonna-ride-you-off-my-wheel efforts were the norm then.
