Re: Drugs in other sports and the media.

This is fascinating. Nike paid for 9 lawyers to defend Salazar and Brown and did everything they could make it go away. Goucher and the other whistleblowers were scapegoated. Julian took athletes for transfusions and is guilty as Salazar. Nike CEO chose brand over integrity. https://twitter.com/kara...

Re: Drugs in other sports and the media.

DCRainmaker has more info: “ But let’s set that aside for a second. Cam comes out and says what he did was unethical. And initially I assumed he had perhaps done a ride or two and just left the simulator in the background running and bulked up. But when I reached out to Zwift, it was a wee bit more ...

His own team weren’t selecting him FFS.

It’s odd when Bouhanni is having a team built around him and Sam Bennett still isn’t signed.

What happened? Big falling out between team boss Unzue and rider agent Acquadro. Daniel Friebe has mentioned this more than once on the Cycling Podcast. https://twitter.com/friebos/status/1166025321734389760 https://twitter.com/friebos/status/1178686427460177921 Along with unflattering comments abo...

Re: Drugs in other sports and the media.

It's also a bit odd for a sponsor to fund a coach's legal defence. Conflict of interest suggests they should step back and there needs to be some sort of wall between the sponsors and authorities.

Money talks though, none more so than in US sport.

Probably also fair to say that a bonk at this level, in that race, over that distance, in that weather, hits pretty hard.

Most of us have bonked at some point - and we all know that someone could put a gun to your head and you wouldn't be able to go any harder.
